Challenges in Life
Many things can challenge us in life. Some things we set up and plan for and some things are unexpected. It’s usually the things that we do not anticipate that bring us to our knees in the process of their unfolding.
Sometimes we need to bury our head in the sand and ride the down wave; sometimes we need to distract ourselves with other things until we can mentally lean into the issues and sometimes, we are ready to dive deep and stand in the fire of transformation.
No one knows what another person is going through. We don’t know what they are enduring, working with, healing through or overcoming. So, always be kind in all your interactions with everyone who crosses your path. And, just as you don't know what others are processing, they do not know what you are going through – so, give some latitude to the reaction of others (yet, don't endure disrespect).
How we manage challenge in our lives determines the quality of experience that we have in every situation. It doesn’t mean we need to be ‘all love and light’ when things go sideways, but in the enduring of the challenge, we must try to stay connected to our heart, soul and God/Source/Creator.
No one can ‘fix’ what goes wrong for us. Only we can do our inner work, face the challenge, feel it to heal it and move forward forever changed. Most challenges will help us find our Truth, our strength and our resiliency.
It is not necessarily that easy! It usually takes time to take in the experience, navigate our feelings, decide what action or reaction to take, then keep our head above water as we process the entire experience.
Most challenges change us – change our lives and forever change our trajectory into a different world. It is important to know ourselves better – to know our triggers – to know what lights us up, so that as we meander through life, we can ‘bob and weave’ in the best way possible to keep moving toward our Truth and Purpose.
Building a resiliency in handling day to day life takes time and patience. Building a resiliency to major changes and challenges takes time, and a connection to something deeper – the Divine Spark within us all. This connection adds a layer of ‘knowing’ and faith in something bigger than our individual, physical selves. This gives us hope for a brighter future through the transition.
So, in navigating this life with all its ups and downs, as well as expansive and incredible moments – take the time you need to feel and discern what each experience means to you and for you. Be patient with yourself and with others.
Face challenges with curiosity, perseverance, and a deep knowing that you have what you need within you to handle the obstacles and face everything with authenticity, humour and confidence.
Be True to yourself – Be Your Best – Do Your Best and show up in life as your authentic, kind self. You’ve got this!
